This was not cancelled. I was there. I listened to the cure performing in the canteen with a few grey canteen tables arranged around them. They played behind them. I was even given promotional black and white photos.from the book 'Ten Imaginary Years'
The next day, at Hounslow Borough College, security - who were all off-duty firemen clashed with skinheads who took exception to the reggae support band. The Cure played on only to discover later that their jackets and money had all been stolen.
