I started my promoting career in the late 70's at the Camelot Suite (owned by The Three Choughs and situated on other side of the road).Warm Jets (aka Cockney Rebel minus Steve Harley) were the first real band I promoted there - the next band I put on there was The Cure! They had just brought out the Three Imaginary Boys album and I had a sell-out (but the hotel were really upset because the audience were all about 13 years old so they couldn't sell any beer!).

unknown whether there was an opening act
