This concert was very nearly cancelled but was not cancelled as I was there. Robert Smith played guitar for the Banshees. It was a long time ago and I was 14 at the time, so my memory is not very clear. As far as I remember the cure were excellent and I saw them a couple of times in '79 at West Runton. This gig was just after John McKay and Kenny Morris had walked out and it looked like the tour (for Join Hands) would be cancelled. However, Robert Smith and Budgie took over and their set whilst short was good. Siouxsie seemed to be in a bad mood and played a short set with no encore.
