On 18 December, The Cure held their first Christmas party at the Notre Dame Hall off Leicester Square. A private affair, The Associates, Scars, Tarzan 5 and Cure assisted by The Banshees all played, the music never stopped from seven in the evening till one the next morning and everyone who attended was given a badge!Simon: "We were all really loud on stage and there was a lot of screaming and a lot of drinking."
Robert: "And who do you think was in charge of the hall? Doctor Weaver! He was using it as a centre for some French youth cultural exchange. All very coincidental and all very dodgy!"
