This concert is often mistakenly listed as having been held at 'Mai Ball College'. However, it took place at Trinity College as part of a series of events called 'Trinity Ball' (sometimes 'Trinity May Ball'), which features concerts in the tradition of a festival on the university campus.
Robert: "A most ridiculous night and about the only time on the tour we felt happy. We were supposed to be playing mainly for the students, but it was goop because the gig was invaded by the local Dublin punks who broke through security en masse to see us. We went on stage at 2am and I was so drunk I couldn't see. We were really getting into playing and a group of punks down the front were calling out for 'Grinding Halt' and stuff but the rest of the audience became really agressive and started jeering and throwing cans at us. We suffered about 20 minutes of this and then we stormed off, went straight to the beer tent, erected a table as a barrier, and drank ourselves into a coma. On the way out the next morning, there were lots of people gesticulating at us, going 'Ha! Ha!' so we drove over a couple - it was the least we could do!"
