What was called Le Stadium was actually a circus tent. Before being set up at this location, it was close to the seafront in 1981-1982 until a storm caused it to collapse. It was then erected in the parking lot of the Stade Vélodrome in 1983. And from 1984 to 1985 in the Saint-Just district, where Le Dome was built (The Cure 2008. Technically, they played this 2008 concert in the same GPS location as the one in 1984). Local residents had the circus tent dismantled because of the noise (the tent was 50 meters from dozens of appartments!)
