from the book 'A Visual Documentary'
Robert sustains a black eye after being hit in the face with a 'large heavy object' during The Cure's concert in Mexico City. A Cure spokesman states: 'Robert has a big beautiful shiner after being hit in the eye. Lots of fans have been throwing small coins on stage during shows. We don't know exactly what hit Robert, but it was a large heavy object which nobody could find afterwards.
*note: the concert wasn't in Mexico City it was in Monterrey. The author was inaccurate about this*
from Edgar O.T.
After discussions on if Robert was hitten by some kind of coin or something... in fact there is a lie!!!
... I was in this concert and never saw anything punching his face.
We investigate that incident with something hitting to Robert was in Argentina in 1987 during his 'Standing on a Beach Tour'
