The week was built around the Friday afternoon taping of the show ...The show was broadcast on Sunday evening ...
So as the broadcast of the episode was at 16th august (sunday) it must have been taped on 14th august (friday)says it's been taped on 22nd august 1981
Even if this report says it was on 22nd august 1981 this seems to incorrect as the 'Countdown' show always was taped on fridays and broadcast on sundays. But 22nd august 1981 was a saturday.
