The Cure played at the Christmas Party of Roberts Fathers Firm
from the book 'Ten Imaginary Years'
On 22 December, the band played twice in one day - in the afternoon they were booked to provide the knees-up for the Upjohn Christmas Party.
Robert: "My Dad worked there and pulled strings to get us booked as the cabaret. It was really funny - we got no reaction at all! We played for 25 minutes, got very drunk, then drove like madmen to the Music Machine where we sat outside for two hours because the bouncers wouldn't believe we were the support group to the pirates.
from the book 'A Visual Documentary'
